LT100 Dream Chasers
The Dream Chaser campaign is our biggest fundraising effort of the summer race season. And it is only possible through the herculean efforts of two incredible local athletes, Ty Hall and Rodrigo Jimenz. And a whole bunch of supporters like you!
So how does it work?...
In a selfless and impressive feat, these two athletes start their LT100 Run and Bike in very last place. Then they DIG DEEP all day to pass as many athletes as possible, to raise money and awareness for the LT100 Legacy Foundation.
Donations come from athletes and supporters just like you, who pledge an amount per person passed, or a flat donation to support their efforts.
In the past 9 years Ty and Rodrigo have helped us raise over $500,000 through their sacrifice and your support.
If you would like to be a part of the LT100 Dream Chaser click the link to commit your ‘pledge per person passed’ or make a donation today.
Meet Ty Hall - LT100 MTB Dream Chaser
Leadville local Ty Hall, is the original LT100 Dream Chaser, starting back in 2015. Over the past 9 years, Ty has passed a total of 11,190 athletes, raising over $466,000 for the Legacy Foundation!
With over twenty LT100 MTB finishes to his name and many sub 8 hours, Ty knows this course inside and out! When he isn’t out training, you can find him hard at work running his awesome small business, the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center and Cookhouse, riding his dirt bike, or off on some other epic bike adventure. Thank you Ty for your incredible contribution and support of the LT100 Legacy Foundation.

Meet Rodrigo Jimenez - LT100 RUN Dream Chaser
2021 was the inaugural year for a new Dream Chaser to show us what was possible in the LT100 Run. As a 9 time finisher of the LT100 Run and 8 time Lead Challenge competitor, local Leadville stone mason, Rodrigo Jimenez, was just the guy to do it.
Rodrigo decided he wanted to try this ‘back of the pack’ challenge to help the Legacy Foundation. And to add a little more pressure he didn’t just start last - he decided to start his race at sunup - 2½ hours after all the other runners start the race.
A serious bike accident in June 2022 put his Dream Chaser plans in jeopardy, but in true Rodrigo style he didn’t let a collapse lung or a few broken ribs stop him. And he credits much of his racing success to his wife Gloria and sons Eddy, Fabian and Alexander, who not only support him through all his training, but who are out there as his crew on race day.
Rodrigo’s Dream Chaser Stats Through The Years:
2021: 660 racers passed (finished 6th overall chip time) = $83,000 raised.
2022: 657 racers passed = $60,000 raised.
2023: 740 racers passed = $133,000 raised.
